Friends and Families of York Village Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Corporation. and Families of and shall be referred to as FFOYV. A nonprofit organization based in the United States of America.
The purpose of this Organization is to operate and maintain a viable nonprofit organization to provide primary health care and educational services, exclusively by charitable giving, to meet the needs of families within York Village (Sierra Leone) and its other surrounding villages (Tokeh, John Obey, Sussex, Gender Water, Muzumbu, Big water, Black Johnson, No 2, During Town, and Mama Beach).

Friends of York Village (FFOYV) is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to empowering residents of York Village and neighboring communities by enhancing healthcare, education, and entrepreneurship systems. We focus on helping uninsured and underprivileged families gain access to quality programs that build a brighter future for all.

The Challenge:
​
York Village faces significant challenges, including limited access to healthcare, inadequate educational resources, and widespread food insecurity. Many families lack access to essential services and opportunities that could improve their quality of life.

Our Solution:
​
With your support, FFOYV is launching three transformative projects:
​
- Community Health Clinic: In partnership with York Village Hospital, this clinic will provide essential health services to uninsured residents.
​
- School Library Development: Collaborating with the York Village Primary School, we aim to build and stock a library that fosters literacy and learning for children.
​
- Farm to Table Program: Our innovative backyard farming workshops teach residents sustainable farming techniques, enabling families to grow and sell their own produce, fighting hunger, and creating income opportunities.
